On Sunday April 6 at the Ross Memorial Uniting Church locals were entertained with an amazing performance by soprano Amelia Farrugia and pianist John Martin.
The event was sponsored by Freeman Vineyards, Harden Regional Development Corporation, Ross Memorial Uniting Church, Flemings Property Services and Harden Country Club and put on by Silo Sounds.
Ms Farrugia is one of Australia's most luminous musical talents and celebrated sopranos since she has graced stages worldwide with her breathtaking artistry and charisma.
Her operatic debut with Opera Australia in 1994 marked the start of an extraordinary career, featuring lead roles such as the enchanting Manon in Massenet's Manon, the vivacious title character in Lehar's The Merry Widow, and the spirited Alice Ford in Verdi's Falstaff.
Internationally, she has performed with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Opera Hong Kong, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where she was entrusted with major roles in 2012 and 2015.

In 2005, Ms Farrugia achieved a milestone, becoming the first Australian soprano since Dame Joan Sutherland to release a solo album on the prestigious Decca label.
Her album Joie de Vivre! earned her a Classical ARIA nomination.

Pianist John Martin is not only a talented performer, but a composer and musical director who was celebrated by those in attendance for his emotive and engaging performance.
Mr Martin performs classical, theatre and contemporary genres and is renowned for his collaborations with the likes of Miriam Margolyes, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Jane Rutter and Jose Carbo.
His versatility spans solo shows, ensemble performances and theatrical productions.
Highlights of his career include appearing in the film Ladies in Black, performing Noel Coward's works and extensive touring in Australia and China.
His compositions include piano, choral and vocal works and are regularly featured on ABC Classic FM.
During his visit for Silo Sounds in Harden, Mr Martin continued to captivate the audience with his artistry and storytelling, with his performance earing accolades for his musical depth and stage presence.
Locals are being encouraged to book now for the next Silo Sounds performance on Sunday July 6 at 2pm and will include the powerhouse trio Estivo Trio with Ying Ho on the piano, Jonathan Berkes on the cello and Fox Chan on the violin.
The performance includes performances of pieces by Chopin, Puccini, Andrew Llyod Webber, Debussy and Loewe.
